The Olex system is designed to assist in all kinds of offshore operations from fisheries research to high-resolution multibeam surveys. The Olex is a fully-functioning chart plotter with global chart coverage available . It can integrate multiple sensor data including speed through water, wind speed, heading, roll, pitch and water temperature. These can be integrated to calculate the net forces on your vessel and map surface currents in real-time.

The full waypoint and routeplanning functionality are accessible through the intuitive user interface. With an unlimited number of waypoints and autopilot integration the standard tools within Olex make operational planning a lot simpler. Rather than survey planning with charts and bathymetric maps and then transferring the data to the ships navigation system it can now all be done within Olex.
