The Olex system integrates seamlessly with many Kongsberg multibeam systems including EM120, EM1000, EM1002, EM3000, EM3002, EM3002D and EM710.
The newest innovation is the interface with the WASSP multibeam system.
The only information taken from the multibeam is position, depth and backscatter. This is fed to the Olex over a standard network connection. This results in a negligible processor overhead to the SIS system as all processing of the data is carried out by the Olex system.
The key benefit to using the Olex system is the ability to visualise merged gridded data in real time. This is particularly useful in determining the optimum line spacing and instantly identifying overlaps.
The Olex system grids to a user defined cell size and thanks to its efficient data processing and storage capability will easily cope with extended periods of continuous data collection.
