Multibeam surveying  is one of the key services provided by Aspect Surveys.  During the Workboat 07 exhibition, which ran alongside the industry focused Fishing 07, Ole Benjamin Hestvik ran a demonstration of the Olex on the Remote Sensor.

Gordon Campbell, Director of Aspect Surveys has been using the Kongsberg EM3002 for some time now and has proved the systems capabilities in numerous situations from  dock surveys to the wild waters of northern Scotland.

The Olex system can grid vast amounts of data and display the mosaic in real time.  This increases the efficiency of the survey, minimising excessive overlaps and data gaps. This will reduce overall survey time and allow for more effective survey practices. Combine this real-time capability with extremely compact data storage and system stability and you have a really dependable survey tool.

Even Gordon was impressed with the ability of the Olex system. During our short survey we were gridding the data at 10 cm  resolution whilst automatically cleaning spikes and inaccurate outer beam values.
